Camilla Guerritore holds a MSc Degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico of
Milan and the ASP Diploma and double masters degree at the Politecnico of Milan and Politecnico of
Turin. She also studied abroad at the Universitat Politècnica De Catalunya (ETSAV) – Barcelona (2005) and
the University of Western Australia (UWA) – Perth (2007).
In the practise she collaborates with different architecture firms, developing urban, architectural and interiors
projects.
Currently Phd candidate in Technology and Design for the Built Environment at the Department of
Architecture, Building and Construction (ABC) of the Politecnico of Milan, she is exploring the
potentialities of the interventions on the built environment through a new multidimensional envelope rather
than the application of demolition policies. In particular, her work focuses on adaptive reuse strategies for
office building conversion into housing.
She is spending a research period at the DCG group of the Faculty of Architecture in the University of
Lisbon to investigate on the application of a shape grammar trasformation methodology to the reburbishment
of office building and their conversion into housing.
