  • Bio

  • Elif received her B.Arch from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara and her M.Arch from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles. She has taught studios and design computing courses at Istanbul Bilgi and Kadir Has Universities. Currently, she is a Phd candidate at Istanbul Technical University and University of Lisbon focusing on automated methods for measuring urban walkability. She is also the co-founder of iyiofis ( and Bits’n Bricks ( where she actively contributes in projects supporting urban design through location-based data mining.
