  • Humera Mughal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in BUILDING AND ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, PAKISTAN and a Master of Science degree in BUILDING ENGINEERING from the same university since 2012. She also holds a Master of Science degree in ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING from Politecnico di Milano, ITALY since 2014, funded with Gold scholarship by Politecnico di Milano based on academic excellence.

    During her MSc from POLIMI she worked as an internee at AIACE srl – società di ingegneria, Milan, ITALY and Designed the natural ventilation system of the case study passenger Port Kinmen, China. She was also awarded with Erasmus funding for Research traineeship in Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal in September 2015 leading to a study under the title “Investigating the impacts of natural ventilation on Indoor Air quality and energy consumption for Residential buildings in Continental climate”​​

    Then, she worked as an instructor in the department of Civil Engineering at National University of sciences and technology (NUST), Islamabad, PAKISTAN since August 2015.

    Currently she is doing Ph.D. studies for a fully funded double degree Ph.D. program in Faculty of Architecture, University of Lisbon, PORTUGAL, and Department of Architecture, University of Palermo, ITALY, carrying out an INTERDISCIPLINARY research study related to Natural Ventilation in Tall Buildings.

    She has In-depth knowledge in following areas: Energy Efficient / Green Building Design, Building Physics, Natural Ventilation.
